Elkhorn Hot Springs Cabin Map - Where will you stay?

The ceremony and reception/BBQ will be right behind both the Moose & Antlers cabin and Ramshorn cabin.  If you are staying in either of these cabins - just know we may need to use an electrical outlet or two!

Willie is coming to Missoula!

Willie Nelson is playing with Alison Krauss at the Ogren Park Allegiance Field here in Missoula on June 17th.  It's the night before we head to Dillon for the wedding.  If anyone is interested in going with us - we'd love to have you!

 

Elkhorn Visit / Update

Jake, my mom, and I went up to Elkhorn on Thursday morning to check out the site and figure out the spots for the ceremony and reception.  It was pretty helpful and exciting!  They are giving us a group rate of $30 per person per day and that includes lodging, extended pool hours in the hot springs, and BREAKFAST!  We are so thankful for Elkhorn!!

 This is where we will be having the ceremony and reception, nestled next to the Moose & Antlers cabin.  I think the rock chimney will be a lovely backdrop for the ceremony.  Elkhorn is providing tents for the reception.

Jake and I will be staying in the Bearpaw cabin, near The Lodge.

Beaverhead County + Elkhorn Area Attractions

1. Crystal Park - just up the road from Elkhorn Hot Springs on the Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway.  It has a granite bedrock with single crystals spread throughout the 30 acres of digging. Crystal Park Info

 
2. Bannack State Park - Another just up the road attraction from Elkhorn.  It was the 1st Territorial Capital of Montana and also where my Great, Great, Great Grandfather ended up from England as a Butcher.  Once a thriving gold mining community, Bannack is now a ghost town with a rich and haunting history. 3. Big Hole Battlefield - West of Wisdom on Highway 43.  Part of the Nez Perce War in 1877 is really, a beautiful place to see.

4. Beaverhead Rock - A stopping place for Lewis + Clark. Located on Highway 41 heading towards Twin Bridges from Dillon.  It bears the namesake of Beaverhead County.

5. Jackson Hot Springs - Another great Hot Springs spot close by! www.jacksonhotsprings.com

6. There are 3 major fishing rivers around Dillon - The Beaverhead, The Big Hole, + The Blacktail.
